About BeautyBook

The BeautyBook is a bi-monthly employee facing publication that provides promotional, marketing, and operational guidelines. Salon employees can track seasonal marketing collateral as well as utilize retail shelf planograms and other important information.

Challenge

In additional to planning and creating bimonthly marketing campaigns for Regis and the rest of the salon brands, there was a need for some way to communicate to all of the district and salon leaders what promotions and collateral materials they would be receiving each month. I created the BeautyBook to be provided digitally to salons at the beginning of each campaign run so that each individual salon would have something to reference for placing their collateral and merchandising their retail sections.

Also included was important information and contact numbers for anything they needed. One of the important parts of my job was to make sure there was a connection and dialogue between the owners, Regent LP, with the acquired companies. In mergers and acquisitions, there is often a very strained line of communication between all the different departments, and the BeautyBook was my attempt to consolidate as much information as possible.

We ended up publishing 18 BeautyBooks during my time at Regis; six campaigns with three different books per campaign, to go to the different US brands.
